Indoor plants

Ornamental plants fall into two main categories, depending on where they are grown, “indoor” ornamentals and “outdoor” or “garden” ornamentals. This basic distinction is not limited only in terms of space but also in terms of different treatment, exposure to lighting, outdoor resistance depending on the climate of the place, etc.

In particular, indoor plants are individually distinguished either by the way they grow, e.g. upright, climbing, creeping, etc., either by the length and shape of their foliage e.g. in rosettes, micro-leaved, long-leaved, broad-leaved, arcuate, etc., as well as in more specific categories, such as cacti, succulents, hydrophilic and bulbs, which are also categorized accordingly.
